Sonic, you can't always believe what you hear. First, diesels use " fuel " not gas. The average passenger diesel truck on the road today get around 18 to 23mpg, some get even more. My truck gets 18 to 20mpg as it sits. Yeah, you can build your Saleen but, it can't tow, it can't 4x, it can't drive over a Saleen and it can't fit 5 adults comfortabily with a 6.5ft bed behind all that. :-) The money into my truck isn't much more than you'd spend building your car. Welcome to the 21st century.... gas isn't the only thing burning up the tracks.
