I always thought on a front 90/10, shock, the 90% was on the compression & the 10% was rebound? That way when you leave the line, the front suspension can move up easily so the weight can transfer to the rear easily. As the front end comes back down, the 90% kicks in, alowing the front end to settle slowly & not come down fast & bottom out & smash the oil pan? Unless he was only talking about the rear, then I guess it makes sense. Maybe front & rear are opposite.
