I once went to a particular swapmeet in Pomona, CA, and saw a miata such as this one with a V-8. It was a ford 5.0 owner wasn't to be found, so never heard the engine or had a chance to ask questions.

Sweet, I had a 97 Miata up until 11/11/06, until a senile 81 year old who could not wait for his discounted coffee turned left infront of me, destroying my car...it was officially totalled. I actually had my friend who is one of the BEST mechanics in my area willing to help me with a v8 swap with my Miata...he had the motor, and he was willing to do it for 500 bucks, to cover parts only. that was including the exhaust. What could have been for me is in that video.
