That is one of the saddest sights I have ever seen. The amount of rare and desireable machinery sinking into the ground is incredible. Anything that says '421' or '428' is rare enough to start with. But in convertible form . . . Bonnevilles, Catalina 2+2's, Grand Prix's, GT 37's, GTO's . . . unbelieveable. I agree with pkay8488, at least they were auctioned, not crushed.

The exact location was on route 665 between route 104 and route 23 about a mile before you cross the Scioto river. Heading east on 665 the cars were located on the right side of the road as you entered the first 90 degree bend. I believe there is a dirt road to a canoe livery that parallels the property. I have not visited the area in about 4 years so things may have changed. The cars have been completely removed.

About 33 plus years ago, a gentleman stored his Pontiac car collection on some property off 665 in Columbus Ohio. I grew up in the area and didn't even know this place existed. The property was lined with school buses to protect the collection from prying eyes. It was always rumored that a bunch of old cars were stored in the field but it was believed to be just a rumor. Most of the cars were under burlap bags to protect them so you really couldn't tell what was in the field. Plus after about ten years brus
