In America the conversion would make this car only 130k not 170 usd. the ZR1 is better in alot of respects, BUT the spec-v will be better at some tracks than the zr1. nurinburgring to name one.The only additon of carbon fiber is minimal. the lighter weight rim, seats, brake rotors and exhaust are the weight reductions. everything else is almost stock, no cf doors or hoods. cf wing tho! and some other small things.Nissan has projected this car to go 7:20. they already achived a time but it was in bad weather and would rather show its true potential. it utilizes the overboost and carbon rotors to brake later in a turn and overboost out of the turn for much faster turns. The ZR1 running 7:22 is fake, confirmed by many! dont spread rumors please.nissan wont come out with the spec-v because people will abuse it like they did abuse the trans in the standard r35.The spec-v wont be as fast in a strait line, your right. its gearing isnt setup like that, as pointed out in numerous articles. the GT-R is made for the race track, where its faster than most. 0 to 60 or 1/4 times are not all that matters, but it is good with those aswell.the front doesnt look like an evo because this has been in development since 1998.torque is increased when using overboost. its increased for some 80 secounds. utilize it for exiting turns will skyrocket you even faseter!AWD is a gizmo, yes, but its getting more advanced every year, and thats a good thing! stop dissing it.from a digg the R35 can beat or come close to beating a z06. read the mag articles. after approxamly 75mph the R35 lack of hp and its close gearing make it suffer. its a fact that this is more of a track car. even the horse power to a z06 tho and the R35 destroys the z06 each time, its been proven with the cobb access port on customer cars all around the world.

Uh... if you're in the US buying an R34, you have to spend 90k to bring it here just to make it legal. Then you have to spend a couple more grand to build up from 250hp. I'd stick with the new GTR.

For the price of a new GTR, Id rather buy an R34 GTR and build it, still be under the price of a new one, and be able to smoke it. The skyline has been ruined just like every other car in production that was brought back. The only car that was decent that was brought back was the challenger. It still had the same body styling and was armed with a pretty sick engine. The charger, camaro, and GTO were/are a waste of money. And the Mustang and Corvett have become power happy. Ford and chevy had somewhat of a clue with the stang and vett but the GTO is just a hopped up Grand Prix and the charger is a fancy family car.

no launch control, no significant increase in power or torque. wtf are you getting for your money? yea it's a better drivers car without the gizmos, but if you take the gizmos away it's just a glorified stealth...and the stealth looks better....the mighty spec v still wont beat a zr-1.. or maybe even a z06 now that it has no launch control, which is the only reason it beat a z06 from a dig lol. pathetic.

Welp... The car will not be sold in the U.S. and even if it was, it would priced around $170K. I'll take a lambo over that any day. What a joke.
