the z06 is better,pretty and powerfull than gtr

ModifiedEvo9.... The zr1 isnt that much faster than the gtr..gtr does the 1/4 mile in 11.6 and the zr1 does it in 11.3 so for the zr1 to have 180 more hp and be about 500 pounds lighter isnt very impressive...

One_Quck_Z the Z06 doesn't not make more than 505, it makes in the mid-low 400.

Well the C6 Zo6 is a better factory car and will be a better car in the long run than the gtr. And im not even going to compare the gtr to the zr1 cause thats just silly. No comparision.

Actually alot of people have made dyno runs with stock Z06's and they usually come to about 430ish whp (of course that depends on the dyno and the environment). If you figure in the 12 or so percent loss for a RWD to that you get around 500 at the motor. The Z06 also weighs 700 lbs less than the GTR so that helps alot too.

No Nissan didnt slip and give them a car with 100hp more. Like I stated if you have been following this car since its release. They have all been putting ruffly 450-480hp to the wheels. So there is no excuse about being hand built they are not going to vary that much I will agree with you on that. And Trust me the car is worth every penny, of 70k. and If you think it isnt fair to the other "guys" meaning the other car makers. Well they just have to deal with it, Nissan Promised a Super Car Fighter and thats what they made. And its common knowledge that the Z06 make more than just 505hp, other wise it wouldnt be able to lay down the #'s it does. All in good fun.

@ One_Quick_Z. First off I don't wanna sound rude here, i'm not trying to argue or start a flame match, only trying to clear some stuff up :) The GTR puts down 480 at the wheels (even though motor trend says more than that), last time I checked it was only supposed to make 470 at the motor not the wheels. AWD cars usually see 20% loss so add 20% to 480 and you get 576 hp at the motor. I think that's a bit more than Nissan claimed. The numbers add up well really, it's a 3800 pound car so it would need that extra hp to keep up with the ZR1 and other super cars. As to what josephayal said about them lying, I can kinda see what he means, every GTR since the R32 (maybe even before that) had more hp than what was claimed. R32 280 hp claimed, everyone knew it had 300 . R33 was the same deal. R34 was claimed 280, had 328. I've seen alot of hardcore Nissan fan boys use the excuse that they're hand built and that changes the hp alot. I admit hand built motors will differ in power from one another, but i'm pretty sure the difference isn't gonna be around 100 hp. If that's the case then I wouldn't wanna pay $70k for a car that could possibly have LESS hp than I was promised. I also have heard alot of fan boys saying "Why are you complaining about the giving you MORE power?!!!111111". Well more power is always better (duh) but it's not fair for the other companies who do follow the rules. They are getting stomped on by this car and it's making them look bad just because Nissan "accidentally" slipped and gave the R35 100 more hp than it should have. If Nissan wants my money they're gonna have to start playing fair and showing us what they're really capable of doing instead of covering up lies with more lies and excuses. That's just how I see it. I'll keep an eye out for your responce.

Josephayal you dont know what you are talking about. They have done independant dyno test on the GT-R and they put out 480whp on an average so to say that Nissan has lied about the GT-R is pure Stupidity. and Several tuning companies have company cars that they have only tuned the ECU and nothing else and the GT-R runs 11.1 1/4mile times.. That doesnt seem like a lie to me.
