Yea, it is possible and people run 9's on motor, but not on a (na) 302. Any hoo, them small block Fords can go! I wish I could have fixed my tranny an d threw on the supercharger to see what I could have got at the track.

There's a 9.8 second mustang here @ 4000 altitude. (That's 1.1 seconds faster at sea level) All motor. No nitrous.
