Ok Newbies, EVERYTHING in Germany is expensive! A normal liter, that is almost 1 quart, cost over 8 euro. Euro is what they use for money here in Germany. At todays exchange rate, 1 euro cost $1.55. So Mk4p3071rwg, 5 liters of "normal synthetic oil" is going to cost 5x8x1.55=$62. Now a M5 does not use your "normal synthetic oil" and guess what a BMW tech has got to use a machine to pull it out of the engine. You can't drain it! So back to the $100 dollar oil change. So far we have $62 in "normal synthetic oil" fees so lets just say the M5 requires a "special synthetic oil" so lets say $80 just for oil. Now you gotta pay the tech to take it out and refill it. Real simple for some of us to understand. Don't be a hater, ricers!

This guy has to be a liar. what a loser coming on here telling everyone that his oil changes costs over 100 bucks. No matter what car you have a oil change should never be over 200 the max........well then again if you have a Mclaren or a buggati Veyron then you might go over that mark but not with a car that runs under 300,000. get a life

Yea, I'm well aware of AmsOil, I run it in my Caddy. Usually go 7500 miles on it. $35/gal. Mobil tosses their 5/10/15k oils but I wouldn't go anymore then the typical 3-4k on it.

That’s because there is not special oil like that. The only thing I have heard of that requires an oil change every 10k/ or minimal changing is AmsOil. Nonethless, I use Redline and change every 4500 miles, Redline says your good until 5000-5500. But I am OCD about my oil so I change it at 4500.

That’s stupid to pay that much… It is not needed. Stick some Redline or Royal Purple in it.

You're right Clam, they wouldn’t limit *their* speed. Just like some U.S Cars have a fuel cut-off point, but it's easily removed with a tune, re-flash, or chip.

He's really full of sh!t. Any Benz my parents have bought, including recent AMG's have come with comprehensive warranty packages, which includes the most basic of things, oil changes, of which I've never heard of that 'special oil' nor could find anything searching...

dude your getting raped if you pay over 100 bucks to get your oil changed, and the reason it's 10k instead of 3k is cause it's SYNTHETIC....money can't buy brains
