Hey thanks man! Did you make it up to Gainesville that day for the race??? Maybe one of these days I'll meet you down at Bradenton or something, somewhere closer down your way.

Oh yeah, ET Streets ftw. Before the cam, stall, and 2.7" front pulley I was having trouble launching with my 245 Nitto DR's. With the M/T's I barely have to heat them up and they stick like a mother! But hopefully with your new stall we both will put down a bit quicker times when it cools down here!

Hey, running good, I haven't had a chance to try my new Torque convertor and tranny yet...but hopefully I run mid 11's int he heat just like you. Should have some ET streets in the start of october.

"If it's a solo run, why is the caption Mustang vs GTO showdown? This is worse than a ricer fly-bye."

The name of the event was called "Mustang vs. GTO Showdown." The event name doesn't change if I run solo, or run against another GTO.

I'm considering upgrades that replace items that aren't sufficient, as driveline mods Ie: half shafts, axle stubs, differential, driveshaft, etc.

A shift kit isn't an upgrade, but you're right... you COULD call that a driveline mod, and thinking about it I guess I would too. I guess the same with the stall, but neither of the two items are necessarily anything that beefs up the driveline to handle the shock that the driveline would receive from say a 6-speed tranny. I was just stating that I didn't want to spend the additional amount involved in beefing up the drivetrain for a 6-speed GTO, which I haven't done yet with this A4 tranny.

You have a shift kit (not stock). You also have a 3200 stall (not stock). Where do you draw the line for stock??? Just pointing out the obvious.

I am done arguing. Check your messages box...

I myself don't think I've have ever said I had a stock drivetrain... with the exception of the post I made on your buddy with the 9 second Mustang's video, where I used the word "drivetrain" instead of "driveline", and then corrected my post.

But I DID say that I didn't want to go dish out an additional $5k in the drivetrain in a 6 speed, in order to make it handle 11 second passes without breakage. That $5k in drivetrain could mean the engine, the transmission, rear end, drive-shaft, etc.... or even a combination of all of those. That doesn't mean that I said that the ENGINE part of my drive train was stock! I just didn't feel like being specific in listing all the parts that I'd end up upgrading. So you haven't proven me wrong.

And I watched that video you posted. Those were some sick passes out of that car, but he wasn't running THAT hard when I ran him. I definitely didn't see him make those faster passes later that day though with all the running around I was doing.
