You didn't have too much air, sport bikes aren't meant for jumping, I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure they have stiff springs...not good for landing, especially when you have to keep control of it and not be jolted by hitting the ground.

The man here handled himself well. If I'd have gone over that hill in the a ir on an r1 and seen the downward angle and oncoming traffic this man was faced with. I'd have let go way before the bike touched down. Congrats to this brave fella for sticking it out and having enough sense to lay it dow n before he rode it into someone else.
