THe 2 at the end sounded SWEET AS FUCK. Nothing beats the sound of a high revving pushrod V8. CID FTW

600rr, the displacement of the engine does no tell you if it is a big block or small block. For example, chevy makes a 396ci Big Block, but also makes a 400ci Small Block. Although, typically the cid capacity on a bb tends to be more than a sb because it is bigger and allows for larger cylinder bores and cranks. The difference between a small block and a big block is exactly that, the size of the short block, ie the engine block. A big block has more space, or material between the cylinders because it's deeper and wider, and a big block also allows for a longer stroke. So a 427ci SBC like the LS7 will have much less materal between the cylinder than a 427ci BBC. SB motors typically have a max of 4.00 - 4.25 inch bores depending on the block, any more than that and the walls are too thin and will break. A big block can do well over a 4.50 inch bore, and a much larger stroke.

THE CUBIC INCHES DO NOT MAKE IT A BIG BLOCK....AND THEY USED A 5.8 FOR A LONG TIME TOO WHICH IS MORE THAN LIKELY WHAT THAT WAS WITH A DIFFERENT STROKE AND BORE....
