He is kinda right about this one soundin like crap, but hey, its WRC! Looks and sound dont get you across the finish line in one piece, endless practice and reflexes do.

All modern WRC cars are fitted with 3" to 2,5" straight exhaust system, made from Inocel. This Mitsu sounds to me more like 3 or 5 cylinder engine, maybe v6 or 4 cylinder combined with some traction control system which cuts off the spark and/or fuel when any of wheels starts to spin... Dont forget the active differntial as well as 3 ECU unit in car -usually 1 for engine management,1 for gearbox management,1 for suspension/rest all connected and working together.. WRC cars doesn't runs 7sec on quartermile, even don't flies like American Oval machines.. They are set up for various situations,snow/rain/gravel.. Dont forget the FIA regulations- average speed limit per stage - at the moment 120km/h per stage so the car has to be qiuck enough in straights but also has to be perfect in tight corners..
You can hear clearly how the computers helps and keep the car to accelerate just bellow the level of wheelspin..
Black smoke-yes this wasn't huge cloud, average WRC car with antilag system /ALS/ switched on takes 50-100 litres per 100 km,depends on setup -tarmac/asphalt/gravel/snow and how sharp is the ALS set for.,from which more than half of fuel is used by ALS to keep turbine in high revs until you keep your foot off the gas pedal..
Engine stall.. cars are fitted with full sequential gerbox, with electrohydraulic system,it cuts the spark between gears,if you allow car to fall bellow lower rpm limit and you shift down or up then the rev is not enough high to keep engine in revs until the gear is changed - downshift/upshift takes usually around 200-300 miliseconds, but if you change gear by 1000rpm then engine in 200ms falls maybe 100-200rpm which is not enough to keep it running.. Also clutch is a "bit" different - clutch is used usually only twice per stage and is very stiff - that clutch is not set up for city cruising and of course it's not easy to use it.other thing is if the engine stpops with ALS on,it's again difficult to start it because there is a plenty of unburnt fuel in engine and turbocharcher.. So very fiirst thing you have to do in this situation is to switch the ALS of,then you can try to start the engine..
It,s impossible and stupid to compare american 4-6-8 litre engine against 2litre turbocharged but with 34mm intake restrictor fitted by FIA regulations to each WRC car.. In european rallycross are used the same cars - without restriction which means 550-600hp but that's another story..

.........................nope buddy WRC car has to be street legal, those a re rule regulations, as well as it cant be bigger than 1999cc and it cant have more than 299hp, i know something about rally so please dont tell me its not legal. My friend has professional rally car that is registered and insured. Every wrc car has catalyctic converter.
It also has anti lag system, it makes car illegal only when A/L is on because of loudness.
