I have an 1984 944 n/a stock , funnest car i ever drove-no vids yet. Definitely not a race car-but fast enough for me-beat a grand prix GTP in a highway race from 60-100 mph. Only race so far-i highly recommend this car to anyone in the market. I used to love the RX-7s-not anymore-now im only going to drive the rx occasionally.

The '84 was lucky to get 150 stock. I think you are confused with the 951 (Turbo models.) Of course there are a great number of performance parts for the 944 and 951 alike that can create unghastly power. Not to mention massive over bore and stroke for 6 and even (small) 8 cyl like displacement.

not 150 hp, has 165 stock, plus intake and sports authority chip. Im guessing around 180. Its pretty quick, fresh rebuild on the motor too.

Not twin cam- in '88 they went to a 16-valve twin cam. This one has an 8-valve Single Overhead Cam...
