i was lucky enough to be @ le mans for the 787b outings... OH MY GOD they were brutal!. mazda's for top end howl... merc's for low growls..LOVELY I was 12+13 when i visited le mans-now 30...TRYING to get back!!!

They didn't do twin turbo because it would have too much power. At 700 hp it was even with the rest of the field, twin turbo it and bring it up to ~1200 hp and its too powerful, not to mention WAY to dangerous. Why do you think they added chicanes on the straight away of Le Mans? Cause cars were going 250 mph on the straightaway and insane fatal crashes were starting to happen. Its the same reason F1 cars don't use turbos anymore, they got too fast.

I belive they also banned the variable intake system the 26g used as well. Everything about the mighty rotary struck complete fear into the hearts of the event officials.

I still think the 792P looks better. But the 787 gets points for not catching fire. OH! And p*ss*ng off Ferrari and permanently barring rotaries from Le Mans.

But uh, yeah..... This IS n/a like 145082 said.

Yep, the car is n/a and if you have seen other rotary powered vehicles you' d know that 99% of them spit flames since they have such a huge intake and exaust stroke.
