Thats not true, dirfting started in america in the great grand prix (which shelby won many times) when people stated coming to the rac to watch this one guy (not sure who) race because they like it when he slid his car sidways and never won.

-- sorry bud, but the ford engineers, doesnt matter where they graduated, are not responsible for this... ford mustangs have so-so suspension, but regardless of that, a driver who a) has reaction time and skills, or b) knows what he's doing, at all, should be able to pull that off, without incident.

--this is bugs the s**t out of me. either you are a drifter, a ricer, or you dont know what you're talking about and lump the two together. this guy is neither. no rice. no drift. a drift is initiating, and linking controlled slides--(often in a stylish manner), but the keyword is control -- around a corner, or even down a straight... this guy just sucks at driving, tried to show off and bapped. i agree with the (failed) 'display of torque' arguement, sorry bud.
