nuff_said, you are retarded. Proven fact that autos are more consistent at the track. Yes, manuals are fun on the street but at the track auto is the way to go, period. Oh, the manuals are dyno queens, just because the auto doesn't dyno as doesn't mean it is not as fast, trust me. People always tell me I'm lying when I tell them my car made 50 less rwhp than them and I still beat them.

I don't need to "research" the 4l80E, i've seen many of them rebuild to know what they are. Primarily, it's a truck transmission, but will fit almost any small block chevy, and with some minor mods, a 4.3 v6. I've never really gave a rat's 4ss about autos, they burn up quicker than a stale cigarette on a windy day and kill all the fun. as far as stock for stock goes, sure an auto will put up with more power due to the fact that there's more material to soak up said power, but that also comes at too high a price for my taste. I've blown a couple of stock sticks myself, but that doesn't mean squat. If I ever got my hands on a WS6, it would have a TKO 600 or better sending balls to the rear wheels. shifting time is all in the driver, i've been able to out shift my old chevy 300 with B

sorry man, i guess that just makes you one that does not understand. the auto swap MADE the car. it was just a dyno queen before, now it is useful. true i lost 100 to the rear tires and picked up about 100 pounds, but i also dropped a second off my 1/4 mile time. It shifts exactly when it is told to. Do some research on a 4L80e it is the best thing going for these cars right now. If the car still had maybe HALF of what it currently does at 500rwhp then an m6 trans would be more useful and sure they are fun, I've been through abotu 6 of em.

so why the tranny swap? it's heavier, hotter, creates more parasitic power loss, doesn't last as long under pressure, shifts whenever it sees fit (usually not when convenient), and kills all the fun of having a sports car. there's no fun in it, you just step on the gas and 'oh look, it's going'.

it is an auto, my formula was a manual, this car used to be a manual.
