as awesome as compressor surge sounds, its so bad for your turbo

its not compressor surge its just BOV noise

you do realize........compressor surge and stall are both bad for the turbo........creates a severe load over and over.......why would you brag about it?

No it isn't. Why would a wastegate that vents exhaust gases make a chatt ering noise when the throttle snaps shut? The noise is turbo stall/com pressor surge and happens when the engine can't consume the boost created by the turbo, it backs up along the inlet tract and if it has nowhere to g o (ie. If you're running no BOV or the BOV is too small) it pases back thr ough the turbo, the chattering is caused by that as the air's chopped up b y the turbo blades.
