good run..as for the "gear" comment, yes camaros come with crappy gear ratio, which kill them. Automatic z28's came with 2.73 w/an option for 3.23's the SS's came with 3.23's and the 6 speed cars came with 3.42's so yes they are lacking in the gear department, but you can always change gears...

just becouse he is s/c'ed, doesnt mean its tuned right or whatever.. Ive waxed ls1's and gto's.. it sounds like the mustang was an auto too..

im a mustang guy but ive owned a T/A and a camaro and ive owned a 2000GT 2v and they are slow i thought the LS1 would smoke him

I say the opposite. The stock gearing on a LS1 car is usually less steep. Seems like LS1's always roar back at end

94e303gt: What do you mean, you won't take a 4.6 up top? The 2v motor in the 99-04 GT's has one of the worst topends that I have ever experienced. And LS1's are known for having amazing topend power, btw. That was a good run though, I was surprised to see the Z28 keep up that well.

One thing all you ls1 fans should now by now is that if you dodn't kill a 4.6 down low there is no way your gonna take one up high even us 5.0 guys now that.murder it down low or fail

Maybe, maybe not. If he runs outa gear the LS1 may have taken him on the top end. It was a good race. Camaro wasn't very loud for a "full exhaust" camaro.
