Alright your first problem was going to Autozone, every person across the country who works at Autozon are dumbasses and the little thing the goes around the wire doesnt need to be near the alternator it measures the voltage and the diode pattern of the altenator, obvioulsy billy bob doesnt know shit, but just cause you work at a parts store doesnt mean shit, your not ASE ceritfied or anything you dont even have to know how a car works.
