Also, in earlier model Wankel engines carbon particles could become trapped between the seal and the casing, jamming the engine and requiring a partial rebuild. (This can be prevented in older Mazda engines by always allowing the engine to reach operating temperature.) It was common for very early Mazda engines to require rebuilding after 50,000 miles

LS1/RX-7's have been dominant combinations, the rotary was sh!t 2 begin with, thats why Audi dropped it when the notorious ro80 was such a headache and mazda did the same, they alwasy blew seals, the LS1 is an alloy block, aluminum for you ricers who don't understand. It weighs about 60-70lbs more and has 3 x the power potential, Add a carbon hood and some Jdm lights and you'll make up for it!LOL

like THE1JZSPECIAL said, they have to be built perfect. so instead of taking the easy way out and defacing what makes an rx7 an rx7, why dont you step up to the plate and learn how to tune the rotary?
