sledgehammer had more than 1 standing mile to get to 254mph...get a clue as to what these contests entail!The Supra has gone 240mph and has the record for this event. SW probably owns as many cars as Jay Leno! and he races them all!After years of dominance by vettes and vipers which run in the 220-230mph. The Supra did it with 9K plus rpm and tons of boost. The vipers run about 1000 lbs more and they spin the tires the whole way and the t-56 is no where near as stout as the getrag 6-speed the Supras use. HPE broke their trans twice going for the Supras record!Time will tell but regardless all these guy talking straight bs is sad. The facts are there if you like to look them up!Besides even the centimark mustangs have gone 238mph in land speed racing and the fastest production bodied car runs 300mph in LSR and is a 80'S FIREBIRD!

The sledhehammer vette hit 254 mph and it is street legal and daily driven.BTW..It was an 88 model.This is a beautiful and fast vette as well...But no one builds like lingenfelter and calloway.

If your a licensed driver to do this kind of stuff then why cant you learn not to smash the throttle down and learn to shift as well. seriously come on you probably dont do that kind of driving often anyways.

Sick vette- sounds unreal. Gotta stop flooring it in first and second gear... u would get more traction and less spinnin

SHIFTING IS TERRIBLE I THINK IT'S A GOOD ACOMLISHMENT BUT I THINK LENGINFELTER MAKES A BETTER CORVETTE WITH LESS HP.
