yea manuals do take a skill but just think if you go from second to third and miss a shift and over rev the motor. could be bad if you pop the motor. im just saying autos are consistent. want to run consistent times at the track best bets auto thats why so many use them

bigmeats so it doesnt take skill to drag and automatic? because its much much harder to drop the clutch and no lift shift in a stick shift....You still have to shift a automatic just dont have to do it in a pattern. A rookie driver to a Ratchet shifter can go from 1st to 3rd as easy as a you can go from 1st to 4th with a stick.

ok first you are wrong 87iroc, well not completely, autos win drags because there is no driver skill involved. just mash and go. manuals are for pure racing and driver skill. thats why a lot people cant win with them. im not talking about the piece of crap that comes in the 3rd gens.if you notice all road race cars are manual. some have an automatic clutch. there are some really fast autos though

I love all the cars, but the evo lovers need to relax. Yes it is a V8 but no it doesn't have 4 drive wheels 3 diff's and all the electronics to make a zero into a drag racing hero. Nice kills!
