In full race trim (e.g. Formula 1/MotoGP) the cars have similar power/weight ratios and twice the contact patch, therefore they have an advantage in handling. However, as far as production street vehicles there are so many variables that this can be argued until you're blue in the face. Most streetbikes have a huge power/weight ratio advantage, but is the suspension tuned correctly? Tires warmed properly? Does the guy on the bike have the balls to really crank it over and whack the throttle? All pertinent questions.

Yes they have tested it. The car hooks up a lot better in turns which in return allows for faster speeds but the bike well makes up for it pulling out of the turn and on the stright a ways

if both the car and the bike are race-prepped with similar power-weight ratios i would have to say the car, simply because that a car has twice as much grip, i believe sport compact car magazine has done a race between a bike and car, forget what issue but i remember it was a skyline against a ninja i believe look it up

That is THE best compilation video that I have seen. I had to resist touching myself while I watched it. I need to get back out on the track, even if I can't ride as well as these guys...............sigh!
