damn 1/8 miles are scary at those speeds.

Thats some close races...Talk about haulin' some ass in the 1/8 mile!!

I think he needed to purge a little bit longer.

I wonder if the guy in the maroon camaro at around 5:20 purged enough? haha

Rather the NHRA condones it or not 1/4 drag racing will never go away, its too much at the heart of racing, for any country but especially the US from the 20's to now there will always be a 1/4 mile drag race either on the street or strip.

Well I will bet in about 3 to 5 years every one will be running 1/8 mile, there’s just as much action in that 660ft as there is over the ¼ mile and less beaten parts. Even NHRA is shorting to 1000ft. It makes for closer side by side equal car racing the only thing that will race ¼ mile will be bracket racers theirs as much as a 4 second delay between there cars chasing each other (Ford LTD being chased by a dragster) no fun to attend.....

1/8th mile racing is so pointless...

For this type of racing the only reason for a tail light is so they(track offical's)can see if U run off the end of the track. That track in particular has a short shut down area. That is why Ur were seing a lot of them pulling there chutes at the line.
