The evo 9 does not need a fuel pump if it is running the stock boost. Any raise of boost above 20 calls for a fuel pump as a safety precaution.

Evo 9's do not need fuel pumps like the evo 8's do. I should know, I got a evo 8 and Ihitfuel cut if I spike to 24psi, my friends evo 9 in NY does not.Plenty of tunershave already confirmed this on evolutionm.net.

Stockboost is not 16 psi either. stock boost is 20 psi at3k rpm and tapers downto 17psi @ 6500rpm.

You need a tune for that fuel pump, I wouldn't install anything else untill you get an ecu flash, don't waste your time with a an S-AFC.

that silver evo was mine. i have a ebc, drop in filter, greddy ti thats it. it was holding 20 psi that nite. i havent gotten my fuel pump install yet.

1. Daym that civic couldn't get traction for nothing.
2. Cobalt sounded great, always have respect for them.
3. Most important, the silver evo owner should know that his car runs 20 psi stock, not 16, evo 8's run 19 psi so he is mistaken, he might have gotten an intake and not tuned it which would explain the 16 psi considering he has a boost gauge to read off of.
4. Nice clean races.

This video is GREAT. A couple of quick cars running each other and what appears to be a bit of a pos blows them both away. As if that wasn't enough, they both laugh and give the hatch props. These guys are obviously a higher caliber than most of the people that post on this site. Thanks for the vid.
