you dont see any I4 setups because you want instant torque. if you have to stop to build boost then you are done for.

Lol Rammstein @ 7:25. R !!! The reason they're using v6 and v8 engines is because I-4 and v4 engines do not produce much low end torque. believe it or not, but most of these engines don't rev past 5K. the majority of 4 cylinder engines don't make torque until 4-6k (depending on brand) and don't produce power until about 5-8K. the v6 engines they're using are fairly low displacement but still produce great torque, such as the chevy 2.8 in the white rig in the 11-12 minute range, or the renault in the earlier clips.

i could watch these vids over and over! i dont consider myself a "hater",but why are there no 4 cylinder turbo setups here. i think there was one v-6 machine and the rest are nasty v-8s. i think when it comes to raw power the american v-8 cant be beat!!! i am guessing there are very few rules and weight looks like a major part of making these monsters skim water and climb near verticle hills. 4 cylinders can make huge power with the right gear so why are none used?
