yeah this vid is old. the car is real, it has a hydraulic suspension on it that raises the tires into the wheel well and it has actuators that push a aluminum plate under the wheels to make it slide better on the water. the guy actually sunk the car the first 2 times out. you can google search this vid for a complete view of the build.

From 00:23 and on, every shot of the front and rear tires, you can see clearly that they are raised well into the wheel wells with someone white under them (maybe it raises the wheels up?)
Even when he's getting out the wakeboard you can see it.

no dude....look at the video closely....when the car came to land, the wheels were already down. I don't know how, but i noticed that they are......come to think of it, how did they tuck the wheels up in the first place?

Something funny about this one...
When the car is in the water, the wheels tuck up really high into the wheel wells and they sit on a white plank/skidplate/object(???), yet when he hits land, the wheels are normal...?
I'll bet it won't pass a safety inspection.
