and why are z06s even brought up? the gtr has taken the z06 out by 16 sec around the ring and is only .3 of a sec behind the zr1, don't see how that makes it a pos

why is this still a surprise to people that the zr1 takes the gtr out on the track? this isn't a mustang, its built for the track and has about 120hp more than the gtr so upsetting it shouldn't be a shocker

GT-R is simply overhyped. It claims advantages it doesn't have. Promises wins, but can never keep the promise. As a result, you never expect anything mainstream to beat it, so it's no big deal when they don't. And once you put it against something that Nissan initially wanted to beat when they were making the GT-R, the GT-R loses badly. We are just expecting too much from this car. It's a typical, heavy weight halo car with a lot of gizmo in it. Inefficient, over complicated, unreliable, and in my honest opinion very ugly. Sure I respect the performance it delivers for the relatively small price tag. But I would never, ever, spend 80 grand of my hard earned money to buy one.

How come every video on here i see the GTR loses???? I havent seen one vid where the GTR beats a damn thing. Everyone has to stop the bs, and post one vid of a stock GTR from a private owner beat something ( Z06, ZR1, Viper, 997 tt, etc) I have seen lots of vids of the GTR losing to stock Z06's etc. GTR owners step up and dont give me that ill beat you at a track day crap lol :)

You people are still comparing apples to oranges, both cars are awsome. I am more of an American car person but the Japs can build some unbeleivable cars. AS COPDSTR said the only thing the GTR beat the ZR-1 in was the 60 ft it is also faster around the Ring.....ZR-1 is the better car not by much though and Bikini if you want someone to bring a Z06 to the track to run the GTR i'm sure Casper will be more than willing...

I can pick up a Z06 for 48k right now with 8k miles on it.. How much is the GTR again?
