Sounds impressive, lets see videos of the other tracks you mentioned in your lap time response, Gingerman and Road America. Those are good times at those tracks. They are both great tracks in their own right for different reasons. The Z06 is a great car for the money, I will agree, however, time still awaits how it will last as a track car like the 911. Let Chevy put a few years under the Z06's belt and then we will see how truly reliable a track car they are as compared to the GT3. Like Nagmashot said, It all boils down to the driver to make a car fast. I have seen lots of guys in Hondas and Acuras run faster than Porsche drivers at some of these DE days.

Best lap time is 1:40.9. Have only run there in November. That particular day the temp. was 41f, thus the squealing tires in the corners. I've owned 6 Porsches ('86 911 turbo/'86/'88 944 turbo/'95 C4/'90 944 S2/03 Boxster S), but the ZO6 is the best bang for my $$ out there. 1:25.5 at Grattan (Mi), 1:29.5 at Gingerman and 2:35.5 at Road America, it rocks and the repair bills are 1/5 the Porsche's. Been a DE instructor for 15 years and have driven Ferraris to Lambos to Vipers. THis car is very easy to drive FAST..

What were your lap times.....looked like 1 minute 50 seconds? I would say that he was taking it easy around there. My 1979 930 turbo with stock suspension and street tires was making it around there in 1 minute 54 seconds pretty consistently.....that same weekend. And that is in a 30 year old Porsche supercar.....that I drive to the track and back. Don't be too pround of yourself.

Nice video and great car. I was going to ask if you were allowed to pass at this event, but the final frames answered my question. Whoever was driving the Porsche was taking it easy. They pulled away on the power and in the turns you reeled them in easily. Nice to see a better quality video instead of some of the crap that gets posted here. Thanks for sharing.
