Even if the GTR ran a 6:00, theres no way I could drive it, Its ugly on a whole other level.

It's to my understanding that the GTR was not running shaved tires at nur during it's laps. It was on street tires. And I concur with "yellowcamaro", I heard it was putting down near 500 as well.

I'm all for Vette, but the GTR has me worried. I think the ZR1 will take it, but that's some SERIOUS competition. Either way these cars are going to start pushing each other to better performance numbers. I can't wait.

suposedly the GT-R has Been Dynod .and the result was Nissan Underated the hp on the GT-R ..and the horsepower is over 500 or at bar minimum 500hp ..dont trust me go watch the dyno videos at MT.com..

There is alot of speculation on the GT-R. It used shaved standarded tires, more boost and the start stop points on the Nurburg ring were different. And the car started its lap at full speed. The ZO6 used standard hp, standard tires, same starting stopping points and from a dead start. The AWD is obviously better for traction but its hard to believe all this if the number are really true. Nissan must be lying. How does a car with less hp and weighs 600lbs more than the ZO6, beat it. And all the new tests in the magazines are sketchy. In one mag the ZO6 got beat by the Porche Turbo around a race track. When in a different magazine a standard C6 beat the turbo Porsche. I don't trust anyone anymore.

Where is it posted that the GTR ever had race tires on it when it did the nur laps? To my understanding it was on the factory tires.

i dont care what u import lovers say the zr1 will smoke the gtr spec v hands down. i bet u could even smoke it with a z06. all the electronic gizmos just go to show that its marketed to dummys who cant drive anyways, ask any profesional drivers and they will tell ya that all that stuff is garbage. its like an electronic barrier between u and the car. i cant wait for the stupid thing to come out so it can start geting smoked and end the legendary skyline hype train.

i remember when rumors first started about the gt-r. haters said the car was over hyped and would not be able to keep up with an m3 on a track much less a z06. when the lap times first came out people were ready to boycott nissan dealerships. now people are questioning whether or not the top of the line vet will be able to keep pace with the nissan. my how the tables have turned
