If an engineering was getting ahead it is the diesel. Sounds great to som e here, but put a 12 hour day in one in video or similar variant. Not one mention of how freakishly they "ran away" with thier own throttl e and the brakes from that generation- good god man, hang on. Half the rpm s on a 4 stroke takin it easy has replaced that historical monument, thank fully nowadays. Cars on the other hand seem to be going backwards... At le ast diesels evolved realistically.I do not miss that sound.
