yea in '92 anything over 400 hp in a production car was insane power, now just about every other v8 has it.

Smokin350z - The Gen I Vipers put down right around 400 at the wheels and the Gen II got a 50HP boost. The newer Vipers are putting down quite a bit more. One thing to remember is the Gen I was a production car back in 1992, so if we went back in time... 400HP would seem crazy for a car off the lot. Of course the Gen II Vipers pulled 11 second passes in the 1/4 off that 450HP and went 193MPH STOCK, so they are NOT slow cars. The newer Vipers are even faster and go 200MPH. These cars aren't too heavy, but they aren't light either. Thanks about the car though. :)

I would have thought it would make more than 455 to the rear wheels, thats an 8.0L V10 for gods sake. Very beautiful car though
