If anybody has been to england they'll know most of the cars on the road have less than 100hp.

the mustang is supposed to be a straight line car, and solid axles kick as* in the straight line.. what wrong? Not to mention the mustang handles pretty good with a axle. Top gear is being really retarted about american cars lately.

Player! Nissan give wheel horse power so maybe this is a cultural thang, also they reacon that 30% (eek) is lost in 4x4 tranny, maybe I should list my flywheel power to sound better. As for telling it like it is, this is exactly what Top Gear do, if they think is crap that's what they say. I can't comment on how a GT500 feels when driven as I've not driven one. As for "it works", is that all we want from our new, expensive performance cars? Or do we want the best we can get?

ok, this is to "skyline nick" regarding his reply to my last post. here in the states (and MOST places), manufacturers rate their vehicles in crankshaft horsepower. in fact, i cant think of a single manufacturer who rates their vechicles in wheel horsepower, but i could be wrong. a typical loss from crank to the wheels is 10-15%, so the GT500 is right on target. as for the suspension sure its old, but it works. when american magazines or tv shows give poor reviews i tell it like it is, please do the same for top gear.

Watch again and this time listen, what he says it that it's not worth getting the 500 as the 300 is as good but with the classic pedigree. And I can't find anywhere Ford stating that the 500 is Flywheel or Wheels. Also, no one has mentioned the stone age rear axle set-up so far, I wonder why? Hardly cutting edge tecnology people, own it! Bloody brutel car which is fantastic, got to be said.

The Top Gear chaps rag on all cars that don't come up to scratch. If it's rubbish they say it, not because of where it comes from. As for examples, Clarkson got rid of his Ford GT because it never completed a journy without breaking down. Not his opinion but what happened. Brits call out BS, most perfomance figs are hp at the wheel so it's assumed that this is not flywheel power. You US chaps are awfully touchy about your cars.

They only say that the car is suposed to be 500hp and isn't, totally objective statment unlike Ford's perfomance figures.

That's not Clarkson that's Richard Hammond.
