Well, I have to say, Nascar is extremely basic to me. Part of the lure of F1 is that we never truly understand the depth of the technology involved in F1. I believe that there is a maturity required to enjoy F1. It is a motorsport of constant refinement. If the FIA decides on F1 Spec engines it would be like NASA they are going to have to use Spec Model rocket motors. In the same way NASA's technology has contributed to innovations of our daily used technologies, F1 is the science behind what makes our street cars so amazing. Race on Sunday.....Sell on Monday.

God, i hope they dont screw up F1, i hate nascar and everything it stands for, plus the nascar fan base is god awful retarded, i would know, i have to deal with them since i live in Texas

If they change F1 with the addition of the CAFE laws the world will be over for a car enthusiast. All of the tech from F1 from dual clutch tranny's to car ceramic brakes, carbon composite bodies, hybrid systems, etc will suck. We all might as well trade our sports cars for a Kia Sorrento right now.

please please please do not change F1 and bring at least one race back to the US. I hate nascar

I think that FIA should leave engine development to th teams. If they take that away from the teams, then there will be almost no competition. Matt, I happen to be a huge fan of Formula 1 (Ferrari FTW!!) and I can understand your view point that the races aren't very interesting to some people because of the passing. I'm not here to bash you because you don't like it. I also like Nascar too, but for some reason I prefer F1. Maybe the sound of those F1 engines, but then again my music preference is the exhaust note of a car.
