"paddle shifters don't count" ---tell that to a F1 driver. these paddle shifters are connected to a true manual twin internal clutch tranny that shifts WAY faster then you blink (that is not BS). I'll take function over form (stick shift) anyday.

Ashv21, your numbers are way off on the base GT and the spec Vs times are not out yet. the first time you quote was on a wet track. the GT-R ran a 7:29 on a dry track after that and the Spec V is rumored to run 7:21 but there is no confirmation of that yet.

I'll try to clear a little up, US model= no speed limiter. base gt-r 7:38 spec-v 7:25, but yes we should wait for some more tests against other cars, the gt-r , though, did beat both Porsche 911 and Z06 around buttonwillow raceway by an average of 5 secs every time, but since the Zr1 hasn't came out for magazines to test yet we really shouldn't be arguing but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. we'll just have to see

That seems to be the most popular thing people call a flaw in this car, not having a manual option isn't bad. paddles are just as great and its shifts are quicker. i mean come on its must be great hence all the exotics have them.

threre is 1 flaw to the car it is auto not manual, patel shifters dont count
