in the beginning where it says they did all of this on basic bolt ons is kind of a lie, i read about this car is muscle mustangs and fast fords and it has a full suspension setup for drag racing and of course its is on slicks, now the suspension is bolt on but its not like they put a pulley an nitrous on it, tuned it an ran 9's. 9 second quarter miles take alot more than that. also evolution performance is working on puttin a kenne bell 2.8 on there boosting it to 25 lbs and shootin for low 9's high 8's

toyota is already the number 1 manufacturer, but things in the auto industry change very quickly, for instance in 2006 they recalled more cars than they sold, their stint on top will be shortlived i predict as its ironic the toyota motor company (named after admiral toyo who lead the attack on pearl harbor) has done nothing but awaken a sleeping giant ( the u.s. auto industry) the us auto industry still has a much larger infrastructure than toyota in this country and i think you will see that the big three will be working over time to come up with cars that people will really want to buy, also they are the largest seller of cars in this country gm and ford still outsell them worldwide

5.4 not 4.6, 41afa9f3 should've been more accurate with his/her facts. Although there was the ford winsor 5.8l V8, which only put out 300hp naturally aspirated-if that helps.

"stfu... know what your talking about befoe you post"You should take youre own advice into consideration. Although the writer didn't make it clear I think he/she was talking of the use of superchargers and turbo chargers in the automotive field not aeronautics. Their first use in automotives was primarily in disel trucks and a racing. Look it up in wikipedia like you did the rest of your facts, which might not be all too true considering the source.

YOU ASSUMED RIGHT AND THAT FORD YOU LOVE SO MUCH IS STILL A DRIVING ANCHOR, CAST IRON RUST BUCKET-GOOD JOB COMPARING A FF N/A CIVIC TO A RWD SUPECHARGED V-8. YEAH AND i'D RATHER THE V-8 TOYOTA LEXUS WITH 7 GEARS AND A TOP SPEED OF 200MPH-AND THATS NOT THE SUPERCAR MODEL THATS TWIN TURBOED. TO EACH HIS OWN RUST BUCKET

toyota has topped ford on the forbes 100 list for like three years in a row. And if ford and other american car manufacturers were doing so well they would't be laying off thousands and having emergency mettings with the US president about there dire situation. And with all the money america has dumped into there airlines they're still suffering, only thing keeping them alive is merging. So dumping money into car companies will likely give the same result/General ford motors HAHA. H*ll ford sold off cosworth and are looking to sell jaguar, Wow I guess that means the company is not in that bad a shape, yeah right!."You guys should understand business talk before you speak", and you need to stop making a bad situation look good, not matter what you put on sh*t it still taste like sh*t. How the can the fact that a company is lossing earnings and it shares in a particular market, not mean its possible going under. Ford is selling off all there smaller automotive branches, and the funny thing is the only branch thats making money for them is their mazda branch "a japanese company" the irony HAHA.

If you'll take a close look the Vette motor has a high compression ration

he LS7's specifications are significant for a production engine:

* 7000-rpm redline
* Unique engine block with larger 104.8-mm (4.125-inch) bores and pressed-in cylinder liners
* Forged steel crankshaft with 101.6-mm (4-inch) stroke
* Titanium connecting rods
>>* Cast aluminum flat-top pistons<< * Racing-derived CNC-ported aluminum cylinder heads with titanium intake valves and sodium-filled exhaust valves
