terminators are still king of the street in my mind,with basic bolt on's u can have a car that will put u in ur seats pretty da*m good,gt500's are sweet cars,but when they first came out and i seen spec times the same as the 03-04 cobras im like ,whaaaa?,then heard they weigh 3900 freakin pounds,thats worst then a boss 429,lol,i dont think the terminators wont be heard of in years ta come,they will always be round maybe not as much,i can see the terminators becomin a new fox body,look how popular they became,,good price,respons ta bolt on very good,,yeah 03-04 cobra next fox body in my mind,if a gt500 was the weight of a z06,it would kill a z06,like ford wit the supersnake adden all this new power and what not,it doesnt have ta come ta that,give it a lighter block,still 5.4,just diff matieral,carbon fiber hood,fenders,bumbers,trunkmaybe even doors,lihgter drive train,they dont need a 750 gt500 supersnake,,they need a weight reduction system,i love ford,but its pretty sad how carrol shelby,ford,svt,anndd ford racing cant even come ta the conclustion its not more power they need,its less weight,i tells ya if i was incharged down there i would make that car a stock, z06,even z07 eater fer less price,terminators will be round fer ever,but gt500 stil didnt prove everything ta the terminator ta show its the new king,oh yeah,that is an auto,if u think hes powershifting i think u need ta get off this site and go play with ur tonka trucks

Who's knocking the term's? I said there is a new king from ford......I didn't say the term's were obsolete. Give it time? In 2003 or 2004 terms were not running what they do today. I can't really even believe this is an arguement. Look at his trap speed with a granny launch...Yes it has a bigger motor....hence the reason it's going to make term's 2nd class. 9.85 @ 146 mph...with a throttle take off at idle.....these cars will be 8 seconds cars you can mark my word on that and maybe even lower with all the same type mods that term's are going with. I'd bet ya but I don't know you. :-). And the people disappointed in them? That's their fault for investing in something they did no research on. The term king of the street means it will own the drag strips as far as I'm concerned. If you'll remember the brand new terminator owners were disappointed with them also because of weight issues....That disappeared quickly with KB coming to the rescue.

bigjon, I know A LOT of people who own a gt500 and are very disappointed them. These are the owners who told me, that also own a 03 cobra. They all said, if they never swapped to a twinscrew, the car is a turd. I believe it. every single cobra i have been in, including mine, with the eaton, was explosive and fast.

03 04 cobra's have ran 10's with a ported eaton upper lower combo, full weight irs, 6 speed, THE EATON!!! trapping 126-127mph with a measly 4.6 motor everything else stock. IRS, not even a solid axle

You cannot say anything bad about the 03 04 cobra's or say they will die out. The terminator will always be known as king of the street.

The new shelby has yet to impress me. This is my opinion, and from gt500 owners. maybe the car handles better, its smoother, brakes better, fine, thats going to happen as each year cars get better.

so here you have a car, that has an auto now, a bigger block, heads cams, a freakin 2.8h kenne bell at 21lbs of boost, and god knows what else, suspension wise or even weight reduction.

The car is fast as hell, it traps 146mph, but 03 04 cobra's are doing the same thing with less.

I also dont want to hear, oh give it some more time. no, its a 5.4 block they have been around for ages.

look at the days with nitrous pete and jdm with there terminators, cars just came out and they were in the 10's then pete went 9's.

each car has there part and are both fast cars. but don't knock down the terminator.

Please note how he had to pedal the 500 out of the hole. I'd say it's alot quicker than stated.

My whole point....it's an auto.....imagine with line loc and either more boost or a shoot of nitro....this is built motor with Kenne Bell...........goodbye terminator. Once they have this done...wll the rich folks will be into the low 9's high 8's with packages. The ones that max it out wil make twin turbo term's obsolete.
