SurgesEvo: Peaking over the 500whp range on the stock block is only as reliable at the tune and the owner. Sounds to me like either your friends with 20g's either had bad tunes, were not being responsible with their Evo's or a combination of both. The number of Evo owners that are having success in that whp range vastly outweigh the owners that are not.

sorry anyway my point is that i woulndt even want a 500whlhp stock block evo.. any with any smarts wouldnt either, i said it b4 and il say it again its not RELIABLE period.. 3 of my friends blew their stock motors runing a 20g with over 440whl, well it lastes 2 summers but still blew up. u will always have issues well ur making that much power on a stock blow .

SurgesEvo: Reread what I wrote because you are certainly not following what im saying. I never said anything about making 500whp on the stock turbo. I SAID many Evo owners have made over 500whp on the STOCK BLOCK with well over 50k miles without issues. 430whp on the stock turbo is pretty much the max you can make unless you do high compression pistons. Once again what is your point of listing how much power your making on a 35r on pump gas? That has nothing to do with this conversation whatsoever.

remember im only running on 93 pump gas, and 28psi for that 582whl.and im only running a 35r, not a 37r. besides no matter what evolutionm says or not ur not gonna get 50k on a stock block with 500whl. i didnt say stock turbo, plus its hard to get 500whl out of a 16g, 45o is pushin it.

:SurgesEvo The reliability of your built motor has nothing to do with this conversation. The stock block has been taken over 500whp by many Evo owners for countless miles without issues. The stock turbo does not even have the ability to make enough power to push the stock block anywhere near it's limits. I suggest you read up on Evolutionm.net because you are clearly misinformed. On the subject of your dyno numbers you are NOT making 700whp on a dynojet 640whp is more likely. 640whp - a generous 9% for your dynamics dyno= 582whp

ok RYU: 1st is that from street fighter "RYU" and KEN LOL but seriously, u cant have a 500whl hp stock block evo and xpect it to last 50k OR 3yr. i dont know where ur gettin ur info from...I DROVE MY BUILT MOTOR FOR 1.5 YRS, OVER 12K ON MOTOR AT 471HP AND 438WTQ 23PSI, LAST MONTH I GOT NEW TUNE OF 28PSI 583WHL AND 498TQ. THATS RELIABLE. AND THATS ON A DYNODYNAMICS DYNO, THATS AROUND 700WHL ON A DYNOJET GIVE OR TAKE A LIL.

:surgesEvo: There is nothing "ticking" about it. The stock Evo engine has proven itself reliable into the mid 500whp range. I'm not sure where your getting your information from but it is incorrect.
