Staging techniques are great, but at the end of the video after your 14.9s run, you said and I quote "At this point I knew exactly what I needed... lowering springs! Thats what you get me to beat fast Fbodies on the 1/4 mile...."
If in failing to understand how lowering the front of your car 1.5" will help you beat the car on your second pass that was what.. 10(?) lengths ahead of you is funny, please explain.
Reason I brough it up is this:
If that's a bone stock 00-02 fbody, he or she should be low 13's if not high 12's with drag radials depending on altitude of corse. 14.0 for street tires and 100' of rubber. (been there done that, DR's for the win)
Even at 13.5s for an fbody, you'd have to make up almost 1 and a 1/2 seconds... that's quite a bit.
If you could shave some weight, that would help. Try leaving the spare + jack and anything else that isn't nessecary such as subwoofer, ect. General rule of thumb is 100lbs saved = 1tenth of a second...
I was going to say some drag radials, but you don't appear to be spinning. Try your stock wheels/tires. The smaller size will give you better acceleration as there's less mass to turn. (not to mention wieght). The trade off would be your balls-out top end, but at 14.9, I would guess you're hitting the traps at around 90mph and you and I both know that thing has pasted the 90 mark a few times. heh
If you're after 1/4 mile times, lower springs won't do a thing besides change the appearance.

these rims add a good half second to my times. I don't have stockers to run at the track.
RedE, you funny.

I'm sure those rims aren't exactly light either.

Yeah... weird.
How about getting rid of those huge chrome 22's though...??? Maybe lose some of that rotating mass and you might see a small difference.

Sooo lowering the front 1.5" will help your mph and/or 60' times?
Riiiight.
