In response to the Clarkson comment;Though it's a very sad thought, Jezza is probably right when it comes to saying that we might be at the end of an era for supercars...Production supercars, that is...If there's one thing we can count on, there will always be madmen at the drawing board, finding a way to counter the madmen who stand behind the podiums, and pass ludicrous legislation to keep an extra 2g/CO2 out of the air...I mean, look at these crazy guys at Mosler, who just released the teaser shots and specs for a 2500hp road-legal car! Now the politicians are going to obviously hate that this thing is big, and loud, and utterly insane in terms of a machine that's literally going to bring forth the torrents of hellfire in the faces of Prius drivers everywhere... and they top it all of by making it run on E85! That way, they can do the theoretical 375 mph in the HOV lanes!See, it's ingenuity like that which makes the whole idea of supercars so mental in the first place... So sure, the bureaucrats will have their way for a while, but all that will do is motivated the next generation of designers to find those loopholes to get around the nonsense new laws.It is sad though to know that the larger companies won't be able to build the same type of grandiose supercars, but it will be cool to see how all the little companies come out of the woodwork, and throw a wrench into the political cogs.
