Because they are driving very slow cars. It takes skill to drive a fast car , even in a straight line. I have seen it all at the drag strip.

well i have a 9 second (quarter mile) rally car. Rally cars arnt slow.. get that out of your head .. they just choose to do something a little harder then driving in a straight line. If drag racing is sooo hard why are all these 16 year olds doing it and not rally driving?

yeah bro totally agree with you. drag racing is nothing more than accelerat ion, i do it at every green light .. you gotta take some curves every once in a while! rally driving is muuuch better than drag racing.
