Marty is the crewmember in the burnout box. He has a degree in physics and is an expert in tire compound / track conditions. In other words, he kno ws the precise length of time to let you do your burn out to get your tire s the right temperature for track conditions. He is like a walking comput er. John Force wanted to hire Marty for Ashley’s burn out box but decline d because Force wouldn’t sign a contract with Marty for the whole team.
