Hey I know some kids with some SR 240's and they are some pretty strong motors and very boost friendly. If you have basic upgrades like exhaust, front mount, downpipe. You should get a boost controller if you already dont. If you raise the boost from the stock 7 to around 12-14 you will have a low 13 sec car on your hands.

I dont see how anyone can hate on this, its pretty much a stock sr20 holding it down bigtime. I'd like to see whats under the hood a few years from now! Keep posting

Just ran a 13.9 @ 100 with it (video under my profile)...I wouldn't exactly call that "no power".
Granted there is always room for improvement and a big turbo will likely go on eventually.

Low 14's is where it should be with my mods. I have yet to see an SR 240SX do 13's on stock boost.
And the exhaust is straight 3" (home made catback) with a 3" outlet. The outer diameter of the tip is like 4" so and the baffle-less muffler is before the axle, so I don't see how you can call it a fart can. It was previously (in some of the clips) hanging down at an odd angle, but thats fixed now.

Good video, I liked how you had the camera positioned when you was autocrossing. Seems like you should be faster than 14's with the engine swap and it turbocharged. I would change the xhaust and lose the fart can.

Yeah, it sounds that way, but considering its actually revving 1500rpm higher that means I'm going 25% faster at the top of every gear.
I went from high 15's @ 87 with the KA (which was fast for a KA) to low 14's @ 97 with the SR. Just got an FMIC on, havn't upped the boost yet.

i dont know maybe is just me , but your new motor doesnt seem to be much faster than the old one
