great looking car...too bad its made by chrystler...they r currently the worst car make to have according to consumer reports...and my other issue is...why do they call it a hemi still if it doesn't have hemispherical heads....is that the 'deceptive marketing' dodgeproblems was talking about?

Amen to that, Average Joe. That Challenger SRT-8 is awesome, evn with it's "cheap & inferior" 6.1L hemi and leather/suede seats lol. I heard they will run mid 12s and top out at 180 MPH, stock, with the 6-speed, and that's N/A, not supercharged like the new Cobra/Shelby GT-500, which is also a beast of a car.

I think it going to be a classic instantly. It looks great and honestly really got the soul (the six speed manual will have more soul) But as some that has driven it, it rock. This car will never look like a rental car that's for sure.

Dodgeproblems, your comment reveals a great deal about your apparently low IQ. I would like to hear some actual examples of the "substandard components" and "deceptive marketing tactics" that you mentioned. And don't give me some sorry item related to a recall on a Durango; ALL automakers (including Ford and GM) have had serious problems that caused recalls to be issued. Since you own at least one GM product you can't possibly be serious that the cheap, plastic interior components are superior to even the lowest-end product from Chrysler. I have a relative with a 2001 Chevy pickup where the frame literally broke at the attaching point for the upper control arm. That sounds really safe. I have yet to see a Dodge truck with that kind of problem. Why do you even bother posting comments and wasting your time creating a profile with a name like "dodgeproblems"? If you want to be useful why don't you start harping on the foreign crap that everybody is being brain-washed into thinking is superior to any American-made vehicle. If you want something to complain about look for something that isn't going to have a direct negative impact on your own country.
