Those SS are slow. Even the new 2008 turbo SS with 55 more hp at ( 260) and 60 more torque (260) fewels no faster than the old supercharged model and this new one has tons of turbo lag between gears and off the line.

That first red SS can't be at 240 wheel hp no way. the supercharged SS only made 205 brake hp stock and wheel hp is 10%-15% lower than bhp due to drive-line loss. Definately got a stg 2 pully upgrade, cpu, etc. and more than just a K&N intake, sorry but this is BS. My stock SRT4 with 230 bhp easily put a car length on these SS cars stock, becasue it made 25 more hp and 45 more lb\ft of torque at about the same curb weight.

its call a BBV, boost bypass valve, its for the computer to keep tabs on the boost level and give it when its needed, but you can unplug it and it stays closed all the time never bleading off boost, idk about psi gains, it might yield some???

I have heard that the Cobalt SS models are underrated at 205 hp. Maybe 220 is more like it, but 250 with bolt ons? They most likely had some type of blower pulley mod or ecu hack because you wouldn't get 30 hp from intake a nd exhaust.

The LSJ 2.0 makes 140 hp BEFORE the supercharger is added.

cobalts have a little free mod that they can do when they put a Intake on t hey can open some kind of a valve that makes you gain 2lbs of boost 1pound of boost ranges anywhere from 1lbs=5-20hp
