I'm about to buy a 280 and plan on doing a conversion such as this. Did you have to fabricate your own mounts ect. or is there someone who manufactures them? How many mods do you have to do to the frame? Also, how do you get around all the sensors and annoying electronics that are in the new fuel injected motors such as the LS's?

I have to agree the car is just bad-ass I never would have even thought of owning one untill now. Keep up the good work , I have alot of respect for people who build their own projects and put their plans into action. Unlike alot of theese ricers who criticize projects like this. They say things like well if i had the money or if that was a supra engine bla bla bla. In reality theese people who claim to have theese fast imports are still running 11's in the 1/8.

those big 'fart cans' are the least restrictive mufflers you can get, unless you want to opt for some glasspacks/cherry bombs. either way the car isnt 'choking' on that exhaust. besides, it makes it look like a normally modded datsun.

509.
What made you go with the SBC swap rather than an L28ET swap? I have a '73 that I was strongly considering swapping a 327/T56 combo into it but decided against it because of all the fabrication and frame strengthening you have to do to them (to keep the TQ of the engine from twisting the body up).
What differential are you running back there? I would hope it's the 3.70 LSD.
