Look, im a die hard chevrolet guy and i still recognized that Cobras are quick effers. I dont hate on the cars. Just their drivers! With that said, every racing site i check out, all these ricer guys think the skyline is like some kind of unbeatable performance god and whenever they see a beast like this make it into the long list of Skyline spanking machines, they get in their "hand-me-down" honda civic DX with fake "Type-R" emblems and seatbelts, coffecan exhaust tips and anime character graphics and hide behind the streetcredit the skylines have in japan and try to make a case of how the skyline is just a better car. We all know skylines are fast and respectable cars. In factory form they are very beatable cars. It doesnt take a genious to see that. But when the GTR comes out this year there will be videos of LS1 4th gen F-Bodies, Cobras, 1st gen camaros, grand nationals, Vettes, Vipers, AND EVEN F150s and SILVERADOS and Viper RAMs whooping skylines left and right on this site......oh wait.....i also forgot that we are in 2008 and less than a year away from the new Camaro and the new Challenger....so add those on too!!! 400HP in a performance car by today's standards is nothing special considering chrysler has multiple four door grocery-getters with over 400HP from factory and later this year or early next year you can add the chevy's new body rearwheel drive impalas and monte carlos with what looks like LS2s or maybe the new LS3s now in the low to mid 400HP range. Even if the rumored 500HP version comes out (via infiniti) there are still going to be plenty of videos of it getting walked on! Then there are gonna be guys on here making excuses for it saying "it wasnt tuned....if it had this turbo....if it had the Ryu tune....or Type R tune.....or if it had the Sti1000 si Hadu-Ken All-You-Can Saki Saki setup..... Let me tell you this, any car can be built to run like crazy. ! Just face it, Japan buids good cars but just doesnt have rediculously powered cars rolling around on the streets on any given day. Ive been to Japan...all you see is Honda fits and nissan versas, toyota yaris and other "ford fiesta or festiva" sized cars. They hardly have any SUVs either. I was there 3 weeks and not once did i see a skyline. (and believe me...i was looking for them) So obviously, the GTRs rolling on the street out there would terrorize anything. I'm going to laugh the day when i see SRT8s, Modulars, and LSX, cars ripping skylines to shreds! No car is unbeatable. Even if its tuned and you have a big turbo, someone will have another car tuned better with an even bigger turbo. If you look long enough through this site, you'll see the most unimaginable car get beat. Dont hate on the cars. Appreciate the era we're in. If i were alive in the 60s id say today is just what it was like back then. The horsepower race is on. 400+ and 500+ and now 600+ HP cars coming out of detroit. Its effin spectacular! So lay off the Skyline's jock and instead learn to appreciate a good car even if it isnt the car you built an altar for at your house with pictures of it because you'll probably never own one!!

Ya know what........I will support an American company...even if it cost more...That ZR1 is gonna be worth alot of cash one day!!!

the gtr is right up there with the Z06 with 505hp and beating it on the ring by 4 sec even with the power and weight disadvantage. For all the vette fans duh it will lose to a ZR1 considering it has 140more hp on a short track but probable not very much on a long endurance track.

I dont give 2 shits how fast or how well any manufacturer makes a car handle. I understand perfomce costs money When you BUILD your own car. Butt these cars arent worth 100 90 80 70 60 or even 50 thousand bucks no way in hell. Ya the GTR may not be nothin compared to a vette butt even though im a V8 man. Ill take the Nissan any day over the 100,000 bucks it would take 2 buy a vette . And i wont have nothin to worry about anyway cause ill never see a Zr1 anyway.
