Its like this plain and f****n simple.if without any modifications at all and a long road even downhill , if that car will pull a genuine 120 mph in standard guise then yes with a lot of boost it is entirely possible that is will pull a 120mph in 3rd on the flat.If it wont on the other hand then all the boost in the world will not stretch the f****n gear ratios out anymore than the rev limiter so every gear has a fixed speed it will allow the car to do weathar modified or unmodified where it could never achieve it anyway.if rev limiter is removed its possible entirely, i had a horrble little toyota starlet EP92 Gt turbo a few years back that used to pull an indicated 110mph on the rev limit in 3rd.eithar way it didnt smash from too much power or wrong bolts,Just that they were not torqued at all id say.from factory they would have been 8.8 or 10.8s anyway. realistically the flywheel would be the last thing to shear off in an entire drivline, Bollocks. theres a lot of interference friction between flywheel and crank when those 8 or 10 bolts are up tight, they were loose.dont put a built auto in it , wheres the fun in an auto?just do up your bolts next time, weld the diff while you are at it and keep thrashing it for cheap fun.
