I don't think you can get the Ecotec in the UK, can you? I though it was US-only. That would explain why it sounds like a Honda. :) Much respect to the Caterham, but I'll take the Ariel every time. On the other hand, the Kazoo would leave lots of money in my pocket.

i think it was the drivers too, the caterham seemed to be pushing really hard to go that fast - the ariel looked like it was just cruising (at least when the caterham was close)

This is just my hypothesis but it's possible that the Atom holds the corners well enough to where it doesn't have to brake as hard. I know the Caterham is a road huggin' fool, but I've also heard that the Atom is just purely phenomenal in the twisties; that it can even give liter sportbikes fits in the turns. It does sit a bit lower overall than the Caterham.

For some reason the Caterham is out-breaking the Atom in the corners.. but the Atom has quite a bit more straight line speed.. I just would figure the Atom would be an all around better car.. but maybe not.
