How many times does it have to be said, straight line speed is not everything. Check out every head to head road test. Of course, if you only have 70 grand to spend, then your choice is the Z06, but if you are after the better car, then the F430 is the clear choice. The car, like most Ferraris of the last 15 years, is technically flawless.

I agree with modding a 996TT will get you lots of performance BUT,, the 996 body style is UGLY as sin.... I love the 964, 993 and 997 but the 996???? is just makes me sick to the stomach...

The HP is almost the same of these two cars but the weight difference is about 750LBS heavier on the Stallion... Go figure..

+1, who cares about a Z06. The C5 Z06 was way faster than a 360 Modena, I would never in my life consider owning a Corvette over a F car. Ferrari's are works of art, Z06s are upgraded plastic Corvettes with bored/stroked pushrod 350s. YAWNNN...

As for this race, teh CGT is considrably lighter and it has numerically higher final gear ratio.
